I liked being able to meet new people and being able to converse with different people of different backgrounds everyday. It’s a really great experience to understand those who are less fortunate than others and be able to put yourself in their shoes while also being able to help them with their main goal of Graduation.
What I wish was different
I wish I would’ve been able to have in depth conversations with all people that come into the office but I understand their aren’t enough hours in the day to get that done. I just wish I could understand what every student is going through so I can help contribute to their success.
Advice
It’s very eye opening and you have to come into this job with an open mind being ready to do things that the faculty ask you to do along with just being a friendly body that others can turn to and talk to you about various topics.
