Working on campus, and getting the chance to talk to and share my experiences with perspective student of the university.
What I wish was different
I would not alter this experience much, I had a great time working. At the beginning of the summer I was not working full-time, so the only thing I would change is having the opportunity to pick up additional hours (which I was able to after a few weeks).
Advice
Make the most of your time in the admissions office! Get to know your co-workers and admissions counselors because they will really help make the job fun.

What I liked
Everyone in the office was so welcoming and helpful, I had a great team to work with. I was a tour guide for the university, so I got to engage with lots of prospective students and share my experiences from my time on campus so far.
What I wish was different
There could have been more tasks to do in the office when there were no tours going out. There were times when I was sitting around, no one having anything for me to do.
Advice
Be patient and don't be afraid to ask for help. It takes time to get into a routine for your tours, and it just takes practice. There will be times when people ask you questions that you're not prepared for, which is okay! You aren't expected to know everything. Asking for help is also really important, and you shouldn't feel like you can't ask for it.
