A life-time love of jewelry, crystals, fossils and minerals is what drove the Bajoras family to open their first retail store in Rockport, MA in the early 1990s. Since then, the business has grown to much more than a small family business. The business now employs close to fifty people and operates eight retail stores throughout the North Shore of Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Also, Village Silversmith continues to grow as a large wholesale supplier of cut and rough minerals, crystals, and fossils for other businesses and jewelers to supply their own endeavors. We are members of both the AGTA (American Gem & Trade Association) & MJSA (Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America). Village Silversmith is renowned as the largest importer of rocks, minerals, and fossils on the East Coast, directly traveling to and importing from Bali, Thailand, India, Mexico, Madagascar, China, and Brazil. This year Village Silversmith has significantly increased the size of their business opening their headquarters in Gloucester, MA which houses their warehouse, workshop, wholesale showrooms, operations office, and their web department.
