I enjoyed the content of my research project, I learned a lot about the topic and also about the research process. I had incredible mentors who were always supportive and enthusiastic.
What I wish was different
This experience was supposed to be in person, which I wish was able to happen. Unfortunately, COVID caused us to spend the summer working from home. This program did a great job moving everything online!
Advice
This work was incredibly interdisciplinary, I recommend learning from meetings with members of the community outside of your research focus. I had a lot of fun conversations with people in and out of my lab!

What I liked
I liked getting to conduct my own research and being involved in a graduate school setting. I felt like the community was very welcoming and inviting.
