VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, a nonprofit social service and vision rehabilitation agency based in NYC serving blind youth, adults, elders and blind children with their parents from all NYS.
Founded in 1926, VISIONS has grown to serve over 6,000 individuals each year. The agency is driven by its mission to promote the independence of people of all ages who are blind or visually impaired. VISIONS continues to provide services with the help of dedicated rehabilitation staff, social workers, professionals, volunteers and many community supporters.
Our programs are offered free of charge in 3 different locations:
1. VISIONS Rehabilitation services to individuals at home, in their community, and at their work site.
2. Adults and seniors programs at our community center in Manhattan
3. Residential services at VISIONS Center on Blindness (VCB) in Rockland County, for weekend and summer sessions.
4. Every year we hire for many positions to work with the clients we serve. The list of positions include: Program Coordinator, Supervisor, Dining hall manager, Counselor and many other support positions. Please email your resume to kfindleyjones@visionsvcb.org if you are interested.
