What I liked

The whole program was so well-run. I always felt like I was part of a really well-oiled machine and was able to do my job with confidence because I was so well-supported.

What I wish was different

I wish we had more time/opportunity to bond as an entire staff, but the hustle of working at a summer program doesn’t always allow for that, and that’s understandable to a certain degree.

Advice

If you apply to be an RTA for the Summer English Institute, know that it’s so rewarding but it is also so much work and very tiring. It’s pretty go-go-go for three weeks straight, so be prepared for that, but it was a fantastic experience, so know that you’re walking into something good.
