What I liked

The pay was good, and I had plenty of hours scheduled.

What I wish was different

Customer Service Representative

April - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

I like the idea of meeting people from different cities, states, and countries. I really did not have to do too much moving around and can easily manage the front register. I would collect the in-store revenue and restock the inventory in the front counter.

What I wish was different

I wish the store would have a better management system because some managers would abuse their power. Some customers would get a better understanding of good manners when talking to the cashier at checkout.

Advice

This is a cool easy going job that I would recommend to anyone who is starting school, want to make some extra money on the side, or discount benefits at any store in the United States.

Customer Service Representative

July - November 2019 • Maumelle, AR

What I liked

The customers were very nice and it was an amazing atmosphere to work in. However, the distance and commute was becoming unbearable. I did transfer to the one in Pine Bluff on 28th Ave once school did start back and things took a sudden turn.

What I wish was different

I wish that the Pine Bluff Location had a fun and pure atmosphere, but it didn’t. I still went to work and did what I had to do, but this particular store was beyond different.

Advice

I would say that no matter what, do what you have to do. The work environment is one that should be where you could work, have fun, and build bonds as well. If at any moment it interrupts your peace of mind and becomes too much to handle, do things to secure your peace!

Customer Service Associate

January - August 2019 • Island Lake, IL

What I liked

I prefer afternoon and evening shifts, unlike most CSAs, so I mostly got the schedule I wanted. My store manager was willing to work with my class schedule and with my other responsibilities. The co-workers were nice.

What I wish was different

How Walgreens handled their employees. Their assistant store managers are very underpaid for the amount of work they do and corporate keeps slashing the budgets of stores. We're often short on people but we still have to do the same amount of work, which makes things stressful.

Advice

It's a good starter job but there isn't really a lot of room for improvement. I wouldn't do this long-term but it's good for a job over breaks.

What I liked

It s a fast-paced environment, where you learn many skills for the job its great for someone in the medical field wanting to get a feel for the environment and to learn more about the different medications and the policies we have in America about them. it also great to learn about insurance and how to bill it.

Advice

Do not take this position lightly, it is demanding, fast-paced and a lot to learn in little time, this is not an easy job between the demands of the job and dealing with high levels of stress. Patience will get you far in this job.

Customer Service Representative

April - August 2019 • Island Lake, IL

What I liked

It was a typical cashier job. Smaller store meant more responsibility for the associates. I had to stock, clean, cashier, print photos, etc

What I wish was different

Nothing really. It was a decent job for what it was.

Advice

If you hate cashier, don't get this job. Lots of the associates hated it and tried to force me onto cashier all the time.
