WAVE Foundation

About WAVE Foundation

WAVE Foundation is on a mission to excite, engage and educate our community about the wonders of aquatic life and the importance of conservation. Programming initiatives exist in three core areas: education, conservation and volunteerism. WAVE provides unique education curriculum and experiences for students of all ages; supports and provides leadership in local, national and global conservation efforts; and has a vibrant volunteer program with over 300 dedicated volunteers.

Currently, WAVE Foundation is looking for spring, summer and fall interns for the upcoming school year. WAVE is looking for motivated college students interested in pursuing an unpaid internship in Conservation Education, Sales and Events, Human Resources, Marketing, Public Relations, Video Production, or Aquatics.

Each of WAVE’s programs aims to increase awareness, curiosity and respect of aquatic animals and their environments. In doing so, we create unique opportunities for the community to experience and participate in our programs.

The WAVE Foundation is an independent, educational foundation at Newport Aquarium and is designated as a 501(c)(3) non profit organization. Tax id # 61-1325992. WAVE Foundation works in partnership with Newport Aquarium to generate awareness of and amplify our mission throughout Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana.
