Weber State University

Network Tech

January 2019 • Ogden, UT

What I liked

I loved the flexibility of schedule from this job and how it worked around my school schedule. I won't say jobs on campus don't prioritize work, but they definitely help you have some free time to work on school projects. Something else I like is the working environment and safety it offers to its employees.

What I wish was different

Better outreach for students, perhaps through initiatives to help them feel appreciated on campus. As I've talked to several other student employees, I believe we all came to a consensus that most student employees feel underappreciated, which decreases morale.

Advice

Always be professional and keep yourself busy, this shows great initiative and responsibility as an employee, which can bring potential job opportunities in a near future.

What I liked

I liked the staff and all my co workers. It was an environment that made me feel good and like my job. I was going to work with a smile on my face because I actually liked it. Also I liked how they were flexible with the schedule because I was taking classes at the same time so they worked around my schedule.

What I wish was different

I wish I would have stayed but I got an offer from the IT department and that's more related to my major so I had to leave.

Advice
