White Horse Pictures

Development Intern

May - August 2022 • Beverly Hills, CA

What I liked

I really enjoyed the company culture. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. People also went out of their way to explain production processes and anything else we wanted to learn. There were also opportunities to workshop development ideas with the producers, wherein they helped strengthen our ideas! It felt amazing to have our ideas and opinions treated with respect and care.

What I wish was different

I wish I asked more questions!

Advice

Always be willing to learn. If there is something you are unclear about, do not be afraid to ask! It always works out better in the end to ask questions than to assume you know how to do something!

Development Intern

May - August 2018 • Los Angeles, CA

What I liked

The environment was filled with amazing people who were fun to be around. The work was also interesting, as I got to work on projects that were on super interesting topics. Also, I sat in on meetings with the executives and learned a lot, as well as got to contribute. They comped lunch too.

What I wish was different

Some of the work was tedious, but that comes with the territory of an internship in the film industry. Overall, I could not have asked for much better.

Advice

Try to make friends with your co-workers. Not only are they super connected and great for networking, they can also be super great on their own. That was certainly the case at White Horse. Everyone there was absolutely great, funny, and super cool. I stay in touch with some of them.
