White Sulphur Springs

About White Sulphur Springs

White Sulphur Springs is the eastern conference center ministry of the Officer’s Christian Fellowship (OCF), a ministry to the military community. White Sulphur Springs is seeking high quality young men and women to join the EXSEL Discipleship Program. EXSEL stands for experience, serve and lead, and the program exists to provide a Christ-centered discipleship experience, integrating vocation and spiritual growth for select young men and women who desire to pursue God through lives of servant leadership in their future vocational callings. Believers between the ages of 18 and 24 who are interested in ministering in a conference center setting receive the gift of being immersed in an 11-month-long, positive, challenging, and highly relational environment. Cohort members join the ministry team to experience spiritual instruction and one-on-one vocational mentoring in a ministry area of their choice—all tailored to their walk and life goals. Through this unique discipleship opportunity, participants gain valuable experience, learn how to serve joyfully and are given opportunities to lead.

Reviews

Assistant Staff Supervisor

May 2018 - August 2018 Manns Choice, PA
“WSS has an amazing summer work environment, especially for young Christians looking for mentorship from mature believers and friendship with peers from all around the country. Its summer programs are geared toward believers in the military, so the culture is oriented around those with a military background. It has a variety of summer positions for college-aged students, ranging from your somewhat standard camp-counselor type roles to maintaining the grounds, working with horses, to working with children in a classroom-like environment. ”

“The work was long, hard, but very rewarding. I worked with a small kitchen staff that I've come to respect and appreciate, especially my boss. The other summer staff members accepted me very quickly into the group, even though I had never been to The Springs before. As an overall group, we became very close with each other and helped each other to grow.”
