What I wish was different
I wish they would be more prompt about requesting information early because it ended up delaying my start time. The job tasks were more software-oriented than actual electrical engineering.
Advice
The background check is extensive so prepare legal documents in advance.

I wish newcomer training was shorter
Advice
The hiring process is long periods of waiting followed by hectic scrambling to get things done part of that is the security clearance, you will not get the form until close to the end but don't until then to start gathering information(where you have lived, jobs, schools, references for each job, school, etc) depending of how many places you have lived, how many schools you have gone to...gather the information before you get the form you will only have 2-3 days to fill it out.
