What I liked
I loved mentoring younger students of life who are aspiring for something that can be very daunting, a college degree, a chance to set their family up for success for generations to come. I loved waking up every morning and the small talk during breakfast about goals for the day. It was also refreshing to end the day knowing it was up and at it again in the morning, grinding for the taste of success. I enjoyed watching the students travel to diverse places and touring different colleges after they successfully completed the program. Most of all, I enjoyed when they asked me for help or for my opinion. It meant they had developed trust in my word and I had found a friend in them.
