What I liked

I enjoyed the work environment--my coworkers are super nice and our supervisor was nice, as well as being communicative and flexible with us.

What I wish was different

Nothing that I can think of currently.

Advice

If you're not already certified, and you want to work as a lifeguard over the summer, definitely get started with the certification process as early in the summer as you can. Would also recommend getting certified through the YMCA if you're wanting to lifeguard at a YMCA location.

What I liked

- Great Culture - 2 weeks of leadership development -opportunities for growth

What I wish was different

- some things like procurement were too centralized, whereas years in the past things were done with flexible spending

Advice

- The lessons you will learn on the job will be very subtle but personal in nature. This will happen throughout your experiences with staff, family, and kids. Keep your mind open for these lessons.
