The job allowed you to learn soft and hard communication skills that help you deal with a diverse group of young adults.
The program exposes you to different settings where you can use a directive and support role which are critical to determine the individuals needs by maximizing the individuals potential in a academic and vocational setting.
What I wish was different
That the young adults had a better environment at home to help them succeed at Youth build by building a better support group from family and friends. ( Individuals usually come from broken homes or gang affiliations)
Advice
It's an opportunity to be grounded and be able to help someone less fortunate then yourself and the reward out weighs the hardship by being able to make such a big impact on someones life that can be the difference between life and death.
Its a fulfilling role and gives great pride to be part of such a program that makes a difference in the community by providing a better alternative.
