The team was amazing and my supervisor was a really good leader and taught me a lot. It was really fun and I loved being outside all summer.
What I wish was different
I worked there for two summers, during the most recent summer (2019) there was a lot of power changes in the higher levels of the rides division of the zoo and that caused a rift between employees. There were a couple of people in charge who were publicly not doing their work and it rubbed off on us and made us resentful towards them.
Advice
I loved this job, even though it had no direct influence in the path I want to take in my career. It was a great way to make money and I made some lifelong friendships with my coworkers.

Remember that you have all the rest of your life to work.While your you g don’t try and take on a full time position while living and enjoying a part youthfulness.

exhausting job. Always on our feet doing something. would not recommend to someone that was not passionate about animals.

be prepared to work and be open-minded. understand that no two days are the same!
