The kickup training process that helps us get started faster; this is really good for new graduates. Besides, writing notes every week gives us opportunities to practice analyzing and writing.

Advice

What i have learned and want to share with everyone is: I think it's important for new grads to change the mindset from student side to employee side. The tasks are not like homework, but like we are really responsible for our analysis and our recommendations, so always think actively and think more.

What I liked

Supervisors are kind and have made a flexible schedule so you can do this while in school or while actively applying/interviewing for jobs. I like that the internship is centered around helping each person succeed in their goals and the tasks are doable. No one is overburdening you which is great because you can do additional research for tasks and make sure that each assignment is not just completed, but done well!

What I wish was different

Advice

If you're looking to pursue a career in investment research or want to learn more about stocks to invest in, definitely apply!

Investment Research Intern

What I liked

Throughout the course of the internship, I was able to learn a lot about investment analysis and how to conduct research using the QuiverTrees app. I got great insight into what questions I should be asking myself when researching a particular company or industry. Accordingly, I was able to apply my learning to my research notes and have discussions with other users within the app.

What I wish was different

I wish I had the opportunity to do this internship in person.

Advice

It is important to ask questions. When you are trying to absorb a lot of information, always take a second to gauge you understanding and ask the questions you need to.

Great team, very helpful and flexible work schedule with school. I liked that it was very technology oriented towards investing and improving everyone’s general knowledge of investing through shared investment analysis.

More hours per week for internship

Take as much as you can from it including any of the knowledge from the team they are willing to share and ask questions.

What I liked

Working at AIDVP has been a great experience as I am able to learn from the AIDVP founders themselves while also developing strategies for improving the app. I appreciate that there is investment research training provided each week, as valuable market insights are taught during these sessions.

Advice

This is a great opportunity for students who would like to learn how to conduct market research and write quality investment research notes. It is also fun to bond with the cohort of investment interns and is a great way to expand your network!
