undergrad research
May - August 2018 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I loved the continuity that I had doing research from 9am - 5pm everyday during this summer. I fell in love with my project compared to how I felt about it doing research over the semester, more confused and lost.

What I liked
I liked the mentor ship I received from my supervisor.
What I wish was different
- I wish the time was not so short. I would have enjoyed learning a lot more from my lab if it was longer .
Advice
- Try your best to get to know your Supervisor/ mentor. They are the first hand of support to you. If they are nice like mine, you get to learn a lot about career options.

Research Assistant (Barnard SRI)
June - August 2018 • New York City, NY
What I liked
I love Barnard's SRI program. I have always loved lab research, so I really appreciate this umbrella program that Barnard has constructed to fit everyone's unique research experience.
What I wish was different
There is a long waiting period to find out if you have been accepted into SRI, which can be stressful if you don't have any other summer plans lined up.
Advice
Try to work in a Barnard lab if possible! Barnard labs are set up to be learning experiences for undergrads and, as such, are really supportive and wonderful environments.
