Our founder, Truett Cathy, opened his first restaurant, Dwarf Grill, in Hapeville, Georgia. Truett a pioneer and innovator is credited with inventing the boneless breast of chicken sandwich. And in the early 1960s, founded Chick-fil-A, Inc and introduced the idea of restaurants in shopping malls with the opening of the first Chick-fil-A at Atlanta’s Greenbriar Mall in 1967. Since the first restaurant opened its doors nearly 50 years ago, Chick-fil-A has grown from one man's vision to one of the largest family-owned businesses in the country with 47 consecutive years of positive sales growth. Chick-fil-A continues to set itself apart by pioneering innovations and delicious products.
