Sales associate

May 2017 • Greeley, CO

What I liked

I enjoyed both the customer service and the sales aspects of working at Home Depot. It is fun to navigate challenging customer service situations as well as have a great customer service experience where both the customer and the associate are left with a positive relationship. I really enjoy pushing sales in this environment as well.

What I wish was different

I enjoyed everything about my job, but I don't believe the pay was enough for what I was doing. I also drove forklifts ans other types of lift equipment which are jobs in of themselves for which you can get compensated about $17/hr or more in many other places.

Advice

If you choose to work at The Home Depot, be prepared to work hard. It is a fun job and highly rewarding to work with other people who enjoy their job.
