Patient Care Technician

January 2016 • Greece, NY

What I liked

It's preparing me for my nursing career by interacting with patients. I spent my time floating to different areas in the hospital but most of my time was spent on the orthopedic floor.

What I wish was different

Nothing, I have had this job for almost three years now and I still like what I do.

Advice

Take the time to explore your career field. I was lucky enough to get this job before I started my degree so I already knew nursing was for me. This helped me a ton in my decision making because not everything if for you. So definitely take the time to volunteer, work, or get shadow in your field of interest.
