I got a good understanding of how social programs worked. Everyone I worked with was very accommodating and willing to help me learn. There is a lot more to learn about the inner workings of government. I started to learn about the intricacies of government and how complicated of a system we have set up. There were also a couple of networking opportunities outside of work which all the interns attended along with our bosses.
What I wish was different
I wish it had paid more! But the pay was still decent.
Advice
Just because a job seems like it is boring (ie; a government job, or a general desk job) does not mean that it is! These type of jobs can be challenging and interesting.
