Our mission at the Tahoe City Public Utility District is to serve people, our community, and its environment. It is our responsibility to provide safe and reliable water service, sewer service for the protection of public health, and parks and recreation services to enhance quality of life. It is our commitment to accomplish these and other tasks within the scope of the Public Utility District Act, as amended, in a sound fiscal manner.
The Recreation Internship is currently open for winter/spring, summer, and fall for approximately fifteen (15) weeks per Internship. Experience living and working in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Lake Tahoe offers some of the world's premier skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, paddleboarding, Mt Biking, hiking and so much more.
The Intern is responsible for the planning, coordination, and operation of selected recreation programs and activities. Weekly hours vary, but generally average 35-40 hours per week. Various nights and weekends are required. During the course of the Internship, the Intern will be exposed to and responsible for a variety of duties.
Interns receive a weekly stipend plus housing and utilities in a lakeside two bedroom cabin.
