The Country Club of Virginia is one of America's oldest and finest private, member-owned clubs and has been consistently ranked among America's top country clubs. Located in Richmond, Virginia, CCV was organized in 1908, and has always been one of the nation's largest full-service country clubs, with a membership of more than 3,600 families. The Club's 1,000+ acres house two outstanding clubhouses situated seven miles apart, numerous restaurants and banquet rooms, 54 holes of golf, racquet sports, a newly renovated fitness center, and an expansive aquatics complex. In season, CCV employs a staff of over 600. As a top-ranked club, CCV is considered "platinum," and providing platinum service to our members is the top priority of our fine staff. Food & Beverage
CCV strives to offer elegant, yet relaxed, Southern hospitality across a broad spectrum of food service settings and styles that includes six kitchens and eight restaurants/snack bars as well as extensive banquet facilities.
The Front Desk, Valet, Housekeeping/Laundry, and Facility Maintenance departments make up our Operations team. They provide warm welcomes and first impressions for members and guests, along with maintaining thousands of square feet of facilities.
Golf & Grounds Maintenance
Three championship courses, including designs by William Flynn and Donald Ross, feature bentgrass greens and bermudagrass tees, roughs, and fairways. Each course has a dedicated maintenance team, along with mechanics and irrigation departments. The Grounds department maintains all the flowers, shrubs, trees, and non-golf grounds.
A team of PGA professionals offers lessons for all ages and levels, and two pro shops enable our members to be outfitted and equipped with the best.
CCV members enjoy indoor and outdoor tennis, paddle tennis, and squash. Our professional staff provides lessons and programs for members of all ages, and the pro shop supplies the clothing and equipment they need.
Encompassing Fitness, Aquatics, Youth, and Spa facilities, CCV Athletics caters to members of all ages. Youth activities are an important focus of our family-centric club, and youth camps and sports programs are always busy. The Fitness Center and Aquatics complex are among the most heavily utilized areas of the Club.
Membership & Communications
The Membership team manages members through the nomination and onboarding processes and keeps their account information current. Communications is responsible for website maintenance, publications, and keeping the membership informed about everything related to the Club.
Managing a staff of over 600 in season, Human Resources includes employee relations, recruiting, benefits, payroll, and training.
Supporting all the activities and outlets are the Administration team, including Accounting and Information Technology.
