“I liked the hands on experience working with clients, facilitating groups, putting my skills into practice and the amazing staff! This internship was a real learn by doing job! I started out shadowing counselors and when I was comfortable I was able to jump in and take on a counseling role! I enjoyed facilitating groups and finding new material to bring in for the clients. It was great getting to know the clients, learn their stories, and help them build the tools to cope with triggers and urges to use. ”
