About The Linden Centre

The Linden Centre is an American-owned, award-winning boutique hotel offering international and domestic guests a true immersion into modern, rural China. Guests reside in an expansive and luxurious courtyard home in Xizhou, a pristine village in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province. In the foothills of the Himalayas, guests enjoy a year-round spring climate and direct access to rich, undisturbed cultures in a true melting pot of the region.

The facility is a nationally protected heritage site that has been fully restored to its former elegance, here guests have an avenue for cultural immersion and exchange with each other and the local community. The Linden Centre has expanded to three sites in Xizhou and has a total of 30 guest rooms with three new locations expecting to open in the summer of 2018.

“Linden Centre is a lifestyle hotel and center for cultural exchange located in Xizhou, Yunnan in Southwest China. The original location is in a renovated Bai style courtyard home, one of Xizhou's heritage sites protected at the national level. I was assigned the marketing & sales intern. During my internship: 1. Design and implement activities (local food market tour, bakery lessons, Bai Tea tasting activity, local history tour) to enhance the guest experience. As its proximity to Shangri-la, the world’s best place to find Matsutake, Dali is also one of the best places to enjoy various kinds of fungus and mushrooms. The tour was favored by many hotel guests who came to China for their first time. 2. Create promotion sales on DaZhongDianPing to improve hotel’s restaurant revenue and increase our publicity on social media. 3. Conduct potential site analysis and feasibility study as Linden Centre are going to open its fourth and fifth hotel in Tenchong, China. ”
