Excellent work environment for anyone interested in aerospace and materials research. Lots of hands on experience. Lots of practical work using engineering software such as MATLAB, Abaqus, and Solidworks.
What I wish was different
One thing I wish had been different was the amount of hours I was able to work. Due to some complications, I was limited to 35 hours a week. My supervisors were super flexible, however, and I was very happy with the schedule we were able to work out.
Advice
Just be willing to learn and gain experience. I gained a large number of skills from this internship thanks to the help and experience of those in the applied mechanics division.
