What I wish was different

Communication between coworkers and unnecessary work drama

Cashier

May 2020 - August 2021 • Avon, OH

What I liked

I liked that the work was repetitive and didn't require too much thought on my part.

What I wish was different

I wish that customers would have worn masks more and that we would have gotten longer breaks.

Advice

My advice is don't take anything too personally. Customers may be rude. Your coworkers may get on your nerves. Just remember that it doesn't matter or have anything to do with you. All you need to do is get in, do your best for your shift, get paid, and get out. It's a good job if you frame it right.

What I liked

I like the people that I work with, how well chipotle works with my college schedule and any other accommodations I need, and I like that they offer tuition reimbursement.

What I wish was different

I wish that the management was different in terms of how things are handled and I wish that there would have been more staff for how busy we get.

Advice

I would say that working a summer job (especially at chipotle) is a more of a commitment than people thing mainly when working full time and only to do it knowing that.
