I would have liked more hours each week

You have to be willing to be fun and play with the kids. They don't want to spend time with staff that is not willing to invest, play, and get sweaty!

I was able to attend their teen workshops where I was able to learn a couple of things while meeting the internship requirement for Asian American Studies 681.
What I wish was different
I wish they can give me more hours to intern because I had fun interning the Y.
Advice
It might be a good idea to ask them if an intern could use the gym equipment too since interns are given permission to access the facility.

As a camp counselor you really have the freedom to use your skills and knowledge to help young kids. I would advise that when creating your daily activities, it’s vital to seriously take the time to prepare and make sure everything is accurate so you can ensure that your kids are gaining great values through camp.
