Summer Playground Staff
June - August 2018 • New Brighton, PA
What I liked
I loved interacting with the kids. It was rewarding to be able to make an impact on a child's life, even if it was just for the summer.
What I wish was different
I wished that my hourly pay was higher. I live in Pennsylvania and minumum wage is 7.25, which is what I was paid.
Advice
You never know what's going on in a child's life. They could have experiences that you wouldn't fully understand because you haven't been in their shoes. That's why it's important to treat each child kindly. You could have a positive effect on a child's life that could amount to so much more.
